Jessica:
Human trafficking lit something in me from the moment I first heard about it, something I couldn’t explain. I was young, but the fire was real. Years later, while living in Cambodia in 2013, I had the chance to work at a safe house for children who had been trafficked. That season changed me forever.
There was one little girl in particular… so full of life and laughter. She had been rescued from the illegal sex trade and now lived in a home filled with other survivors. I’ll never forget the strength in her eyes. The injustice of what she endured broke my heart, but her resilience shaped me. That year marked me deeply, not because I was a victim of trafficking, but because I had come to love so many who were.
That passion stayed with me. In 2017, I started Cloth & Kin, a handmade clothing brand with a heart for sustainability and justice. Behind the scenes, I was quietly working toward something more: a dream to build a nonprofit that would fight trafficking on a deeper level and help create safe, healing spaces for children.
Haley:
From a young age, I fell in love with Jesus. In Him, I found peace, hope, and a place to rest my heart.. even when everything around me felt unstable. His presence became the anchor of my soul.
When I was just 10 years old, God placed something heavy on my heart — human trafficking. I didn’t know anyone personally affected by it and I couldn’t explain the burden. But it was there, and it was from Him. As a teenager, I began reading everything I could: stories from survivors, statistics, ways to get involved. I spoke about it, prayed about it, and did what I could to raise awareness.
Over time, life moved forward, and that passion grew quieter. But God never forgets what He plants in us. Years later, when I met Jess, it was like He lit the flame all over again — only this time, stronger, deeper, and more refined by time.

A Note from THE FOUNDERS
“We met in a way only God could orchestrate. At a market just minutes before closing, Haley approached me after seeing the heart behind my work. Sharing our visions, we realized we were called to this mission together. That conversation became a covenant—and The Kin House was born.” -Jess
This mission is bigger than us, it’s a community. From the start, we knew we weren’t meant to do this alone. We’re grateful you’re here, and we invite you to join us in bringing hope, healing, and safe homes to children rescued from trafficking. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

I’m a full-time banking professional and a mom to three amazing kids. For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt a deep pull toward the issue of human trafficking.. wanting to raise awareness, protect the vulnerable, and be a voice for the voiceless. After becoming a mother, that passion grew into something even stronger.
When I met Jess and learned about The Kin House, I knew I had to be part of it. I’m honored to serve on the board and feel deeply empowered to help bring healing—together with this team, and with God leading us.

First and foremost, I am a woman whose life has been radically changed by the unparalleled love of Jesus Christ. In everything I do, I seek to honor and bring glory to Him.
I’m a stay at home mama of two with a passion for photography and writing. It is my calling to create things that bring glory to the One who first created!
I learned about human trafficking during a couple of mission trips to Cambodia and Thailand. I extended my research upon returning home, watching documentaries, reading books, looking up statistics, and my heart continued to break. I am honored to be a part of this mission, to help END Human Trafficking and bring the light and love of Jesus to His precious children.

I’m a foster, adoptive, and biological mom with a deep love for Jesus and a heart for serving others. Growing up in the church, I was aware of sex trafficking ministries but thought this crisis was mostly happening overseas. It wasn’t until high school that I realized how devastating and close to home this issue truly is here in the United States.
My faith in Jesus eventually led me to Asia, where I served on missions with ministries supporting women and children affected by trafficking. The time I spent there profoundly shaped my perspective and deepened my passion for justice. While witnessing the pain and brokenness up close, I also saw the incredible power of hope and healing. That experience transformed me at the very core of who I am.
